Tour Underway!
Yes, by the time that you read this the tour has been well underway and is already receiving great feedback. As the band are out and about on the tour we thought we'd let you know how to follow what's going on whilst they are stuck in a coach for a month!
Day to day the band are updating the Facebook and Twitter pages - posting thoughts and interesting photos. Fans are also leaving pictures and feedback on the Facebook wall and the @shedseven twitter address.
On the unofficial Magic Streets forum, they are collating all the videos, images, setlists etc from each individual gig - so if you miss it on Twitter and Facebook you can normally find it there.
Finally, tickets are still available for certain gigs if you fancy popping along - they are available from here, or contact the venues directly
Thanks, and see you out on the road!

15th Anniversary 'A Maximum High' EP On Sale 7th November
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of A Maximum High, we’re happy to announce that a collectors edition EP, featuring new versions of four of our most popular singles, will be available on November 7th. The CD is strictly limited to 777 hand numbered copies and will be on sale exclusively via our website www.shedseven.com The EP will also be available via iTunes and all major download sites.
This is the first time we’ve properly recorded together in nearly a decade and it was great to get back into the studio. With the addition of a string section, we’ve revisited and reworked On Standby, Going For Gold, Bully Boy and Chasing Rainbows. Some of the versions are fairly true to the originals whereas others have had a more radical overhaul. A version of Bully Boy featuring spoons and a fiddle is probably not what we originally planned!
You may already have heard an early mix of Chasing Rainbows, the free download of this is available for another 48 hours only, so move fast if you want to download that. We'll also be launching a new range of t-shirts on Nov 7th – exciting times!
Second York Gig Announced and New Version of 'Chasing Rainbows'
Due to popular demand, a second hometown show at York Barbican has been added for Wednesday 21st December. This will be the last date added to the tour. Support will come in the form of the brilliant Likely Lads also from York! Tickets on sale Friday 30th September from See Tickets.
Also, as a special thank you for your loyal support we went into the studio last weekend to record this little free download for you! Let us know what you think...
Shed Seven - Chasing Rainbows acoustic mix by GigsAndTours
Shed Seven have announced they are to embark on a UK tour this December
Following the huge success of their last two sell-out tours, the band will return to the road to play a selection of their hit singles whilst also celebrating the 15th anniversary of their platinum selling album "A Maximum High" by revisiting several of the tracks from that album.
Lead singer Rick Witter said "It's fantastic to be getting back on the road again. I can't believe 15 years have passed since A Maximum High and it will be good to revisit one or two songs that have been untouched for many years. We've got a few tricks up our sleeve for this tour, we want to be doing something a bit different each time we go out. We'll also be playing the hits you'd expect to hear, it wouldn't be a Shed gig without Chasing Rainbows would it?!"
A Maximum High spawned 4 of the record 5 top 40 singles the band notched up in 1996, which included Going for Gold and Getting Better, and saw the band break into the Britpop big league. The album went top 10 in the UK and the band toured it around the world.
"In those days it was all Top of the Pops, Chris Evans, Richard and Judy and flying around the world. Obviously a lot's changed in 15 years, personally you're as likely to find me on the school run as swinging my mic lead on the stage but hopefully we've proved that good songs played by a good band, stand the test of time and I still feel the stage is where I'm meant to be. Shed gigs are somewhere people can lose themselves and sing their hearts out for 2 hours. See you at the front....."
